Coppa Italia. Milan suffered a defeat against Atalanta and left the tournament

AC Milan hosted Atalanta at San Siro in the quarterfinal match of the Coppa Italia.

The teams exchanged goals in the first half of the encounter. In the dying minutes of the first half, Leão put the Rossoneri ahead with a pass from Theo Hernandez. Atalanta quickly equalized before heading into the locker room through Koopmeiners.

At the hour mark, Bergamo's team earned a penalty. Koopmeiners converted it successfully, completing a brace. Milan couldn't stage a comeback and exited the tournament.

In the semifinals, Atalanta will face Fiorentina. The matches of this stage will take place on April 3-4 and April 24-25.
