"Convinced only that he will play for us on Sunday." Slot on Alexander-Arnold and Real Madrid

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot once again addressed questions about the future of the team’s defender Trent Alexander-Arnold. Recently, the media has been persistently linking the Englishman with a move to Madrid’s Real.

Quote. "Am I convinced he will stay at Liverpool in January? I’m convinced that he will play for us on Sunday... I think it’s very difficult in football to talk about what will happen in a month or six months.

In football, it’s only a short-term perspective," Slot told Fabrizio Romano.

Reminder. It was previously reported that the Merseysiders rejected Real Madrid’s offer to buy Trent in the winter.

The "Scousers" are continuing negotiations with Alexander-Arnold’s camp over a new contract, and the 26-year-old defender has not given any signals that he wants to leave. His current agreement with the club expires in the summer.
