Despite leading Napoli to a stunning Serie A title, Antonio Conte is set to part ways with the club on May 27 — that's when, according to Sky Sport Italia, the final meeting will take place confirming the end of their collaboration.
While Neapolitans celebrated their championship triumph with a bus parade and an upcoming audience with the Pope, behind the scenes, the farewell to their head coach has been brewing. According to sources, the decision to split has essentially already been made.
Throughout the season, Conte repeatedly voiced his dissatisfaction with the club’s internal operations. The main reason cited is the sale of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to PSG without bringing in an adequate replacement. Club president Aurelio De Laurentiis has long hinted at the manager’s possible departure and is now reportedly placing his bets on Max Allegri, who is also on AC Milan’s radar.
