UFC star Conor McGregor has been hit with another lawsuit, this time in the United States. The fighter is accused of sexual assault, with the Miami Heat basketball team also named as a defendant, reports Daily Mail.
The lawsuit alleges that McGregor committed sexual violence against a woman in the restroom of the Kaseya Center, the venue where he attended an NBA game. The claimant states that McGregor’s security team blocked her from leaving and stood outside the stall while the incident occurred.
The woman, identified in the lawsuit as Jane Doe, claims that McGregor forcibly attempted to engage her in unprotected oral sex, struck her face against the wall, and tried to anally rape her.
The alleged incident took place in June 2023. However, at the time, Miami police declined to arrest McGregor after their investigation.
"After a thorough investigation at the time, the State's Attorney concluded that there was no case to pursue. Almost two years and at least three lawyers later the plaintiff has a new false story. We are confident that this case too will be dismissed," stated McGregor’s lawyer, Barbara Llanes.
