Congolese international Arthur Masuaku could be set for a return to Turkey
The Sunderland left-back has caught the eye of Konyaspor, who are keen to secure his services during this summer’s transfer window.
Arthur Masuaku could return to the Turkish Super Lig after leaving it in 2025. With one year remaining on his contract at Sunderland, the Congolese international defender is a target for Konyaspor this summer.
According to Turkish sources, the Super Lig club is said to be very interested in the 32-year-old Congolese player. Some reports suggest that negotiations are currently underway between Konyaspor and Arthur Masuaku’s representatives.
If the move goes ahead, the Congolese international is set to return to a league he knows well. Arthur Masuaku has, in fact, previously played for Besiktas.
Having returned from a loan spell at RC Lens in France, the Congolese international’s future at Sunderland remains uncertain. It is not certain that he will continue his time with the Black Cats next season. Arthur Masuaku is not part of the Sunderland squad that has travelled to the United States for a training camp. The Congolese player was at the World Cup with the DR Congo, where they reached the round of 32.
