Confirmed. The Champions League winner has been left without a position at the La Liga club

Only last summer, ex-Liverpool and Real Madrid coach Rafael Benitez took over Celta in Spain, but he did not work with the team from Vigo for a year.

The club issued a statement in which we read that the coaching staff of the specialist, led by himself, leave the team "after eight months of full commitment". At the same time, it is recognised that the team's results were far from what the club expected.

Celta under Benitez has played 33 matches, in which nine times won and drew, as well as suffered as many as 15 defeats, being in 17th place in the La Liga standings with a two-point gap from the relegation zone.

The club have not yet announced who will succeed the 2005 Champions League winner at Liverpool.
