Manchester United has announced on their official website that they have bid farewell to striker Antony Martial. The 28-year-old will leave the club after nine years with the team as a free agent.

The Frenchman moved to Manchester United in September 2015 from Monaco, and during that time he played 317 games, in which he scored 90 goals. Coming to the club while still behind Louis van Gaal, Martial has become one of the most important players in the team in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era.

In the Red Devils' camp, the 28-year-old has won four trophies: the FA Cup, the League Cup, the FA Super Cup and also triumphed with the team in the Europa League in the 2016-2017 season.

In the 2019/2020 season, Martial was voted player of the year by his teammates, and his goal against Liverpool on 12 September 2015 was voted Manchester United's goal of the season.

Lastly, the player himself thanked the fans for their support, while the club also thanked him for his time with the team and wished him success in the future.
