Confirmed. Barcelona extends contract with Fermín López, includes massive release clause

One of La Masia’s standout players, midfielder Fermín López, has made a notable impression in Barcelona’s first team, and now he’s set to stay at Camp Nou for an extended period.

Details: According to the club's official website, the 21-year-old midfielder signed a new contract with Barcelona that will keep him with the club until June 30, 2029. The deal includes a substantial €500 million release clause.

Reminder: In September, while with Spain's youth team, Fermín sustained a muscle injury that sidelined him for a month. The young midfielder is gradually being integrated into Barcelona's lineup, including getting a half of playing time in the match against Real Madrid (0-4).
