Yesterday, in all the top leagues, the winter transfer window officially concluded. Despite the considerable number of injuries and speculation surrounding the club, Real Madrid neither secured nor inked any new footballers.

This marks the fifth consecutive winter transfer window in which Real has refrained from acquiring fresh players.

The last player signed by Real Madrid in January is the attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz, for whom the Madrid side paid Manchester City 17 million euros in January 2019.

Previously, Real Madrid has made winter transfer window signings such as Martin Odegaard, Diego Lopez, Lucas Silva, Emmanuel Adebayor, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, and Lassana Diarra.
