Condition revealed under which Bayer would let Alonso leave for Real Madrid

Bayer Leverkusen head coach Xabi Alonso has attracted significant interest from top clubs following his impressive performances last season. However, it has now emerged that there is a specific condition under which the club would allow him to leave.

Details: According to Relevo, Alonso has a gentleman’s agreement with Bayer’s CEO Fernando Carro—if the coach personally requests to join Real Madrid, the club will not stand in his way. However, this does not mean his move to the Santiago Bernabéu is a foregone conclusion.

Real Madrid would only part ways with Carlo Ancelotti if the club fails to win any major trophies this season—La Liga, the Copa del Rey, or the Champions League.

Reminder: Recent rumors have linked Ancelotti with the Brazil national team. The Italian coach also recently named the player he believes could become Real Madrid’s future captain.
