Como fans threaten their player with reprisals for failing to score a penalty kick

Despite a high-profile transfer window, Serie A newcomer Como can't find their game, after three league rounds they have one point and are at the bottom of the standings. The last match against Udinese was particularly emotional.

On 90+5 minutes of the game in Udine, Como, who were losing 0:1, got the right to a penalty, which, however, forward Patrick Cutrone did not realise. As a result, Cesc Fabregas' team suffered their second defeat in three matches, and the striker himself got a good beating from the fans.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Cutrone had to face attacks from fans on social networks, who even threatened the player and his family with physical violence. The forward himself reacted to these messages on his Instagram:

‘I accept criticism, as I should, but I don't let such things pass my ears.’
