Como are looking to edge ahead of Osasuna in the race to sign Willy Kambwala
The Italian club are reportedly making headway in negotiations to sign the Congolese centre-back from Villarreal.
Willy Kambwala could leave Villarreal during this summer’s transfer window. There is no shortage of suitors, and Como are said to have taken the lead in the race to sign the 21-year-old centre-back.
According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the Italian side are making headway in negotiations to sign Willy Kambwala, who is one of their top targets. Como appear well-placed in this deal and could edge out Osasuna, who are also interested in the 21-year-old.
Como are keen to make Willy Kambwala their next defensive signing and are working actively to reach an agreement. However, the former Manchester United player currently belongs to Villarreal, with whom he is under contract until June 2029.
If negotiations are successful, the DR Congo centre-back will now play in Italy’s Serie A.
