Comeback of the year? Mats Hummels might join Borussia Dortmund for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025

Recently, the legendary Mats Hummels announced his retirement, but there's a chance we might see him back on the field after the season ends.
Details: According to Patrick Berger, there is currently a possibility that Borussia Dortmund will sign Hummels on a short-term contract until the end of the Club World Cup.
Hummels was disappointed with the way he parted ways with Borussia Dortmund last spring, and the Club World Cup would be a great opportunity for him to bid farewell to the club properly.
At present, Borussia Dortmund is considering all possible implications of such a decision, as several players were displeased with Hummels' conflict with the former head coach Edin Terzić.
In the Club World Cup, Hummels could replace Nico Schlotterbeck, who suffered a severe meniscus injury, in Borussia Dortmund's lineup.
Currently, Hummels plays for Roma, and he has played over 500 matches for Borussia Dortmund during his career.
In the Club World Cup, Borussia Dortmund will face Ulsan Hyundai, Fluminense, and Mamelodi Sundowns in the same group.
Reminder: Today it was announced that Real Madrid's center-back Éder Militão will miss the Club World Cup.
