Columbus Crew Turn Down Toulouse Bid for Max Arfsten

Columbus Crew have rejected a transfer offer from Ligue 1 side Toulouse FC for wing-back Max Arfsten, sources confirmed to GiveMeSport.
The 24-year-old has made 77 appearances for the Crew and has flourished in a wing-back role under manager Wilfried Nancy. Arfsten’s versatility is one of his biggest assets — he’s comfortable on either flank and can push higher up the pitch if needed. He has also earned three caps with the United States Men’s National Team.
Toulouse, who finished 10th in France’s top flight last season, are believed to be targeting dynamic, multi-positional players as part of their recruitment strategy. Despite the interest, Columbus — currently fifth in MLS’s Eastern Conference — have opted to hold onto Arfsten, prioritizing their campaign over any mid-season departures.
