Colo Colo Denies Reports of Superclásico Postponement Colo Colo Denies Reports of Superclásico Postponement

Colo Colo has moved quickly to squash rumors surrounding a potential postponement of the upcoming Superclásico against Universidad de Chile. The high-profile clash is set for the weekend of April 13 at the Estadio Nacional and will go ahead as planned, despite scheduling challenges with the Copa Libertadores.

Club sources denied any intention to request the suspension of the duel, which is slated for the weekend of April 13 at the Estadio Nacional, according to Dale Albo. Concerns arose after journalist Fernando Agustín Tapia indicated that around Colo Colo, there were considerations of postponing the game for rest reasons, given that the U would play on Tuesday the 8th and the Cacique on Thursday the 10th in the continental tournament.

Despite the short turnaround, the club has no plans to push back the men’s match. The only rescheduling request from Colo Colo involves the women’s Superclásico, originally set for April 20, which clashes with centennial celebrations.

After already seeing their Supercopa and U. Católica clashes postponed, Colo Colo is set to honor this long-awaited derby on schedule.
