Club América Target Swansea City's Ronald Pereira as Summer Signing

Club América are reportedly eyeing Swansea City winger Ronald Pereira as a marquee signing for the Apertura 2025 season. As revealed by Soy Fútbol, the 24-year-old Brazilian is on manager André Jardine’s wishlist, with the club seeking to bolster its attack after several player exits.
Pereira, a versatile wide attacker, has a contract with Swansea through June 2027, with a one-year extension option. His market value is estimated at $2.3 million, according to Transfermarkt—well within América’s reach. The Welsh side signed him in January 2024 for $1.7 million after previous spells in Brazil with Atlético Goianiense, Guarani, and Anápolis, as well as in Portugal with Estrela Amadora.
The transfer won't come easily, though. Several top Brazilian clubs—Corinthians, Vasco da Gama, and Santos—have also shown interest in Pereira.
While América have already offloaded Diego Valdés and loaned out young players like Esteban Lozano to Puebla, the club has yet to announce any signings this window. Pereira could be the first step toward revamping their attack.
