Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is on the verge of returning to action after his injury. According to The Athletic, the shot-stopper is expected to be fit in time for the first legs of the Champions League semi-finals.
The source reports that the 33-year-old Belgian is targeting the end of April for his comeback—precisely when the first legs of the semi-finals are scheduled for April 28–29. In the opening quarter-final match of the Champions League, Real fell to Bayern at home with a 1-2 scoreline. The return leg is set for April 15.
As a reminder, Courtois suffered his injury on March 17 during the round of 16 clash against Manchester City. He was replaced in the second half by Andriy Lunin, who has since been the starting keeper for Los Blancos.
