Clarence Seedorf returns to top-level football! Dutch star takes charge of Brazilian giants
Clarence Seedorf is returning to coaching! The legendary Dutch footballer has officially taken charge of Brazilian giants Corinthians. The manager has signed a deal running until the end of 2027.
Seedorf replaces Fernando Diniz, who was unable to pull the team out of a difficult situation. After 29 rounds of the Brazilian league, Corinthians sit 16th and are now forced to fight to improve their position.
For the 50-year-old Dutchman, this is a fresh opportunity to make his mark as a coach. As a player, Seedorf enjoyed outstanding success with Real Madrid and Milan, while also winning numerous prestigious trophies at club level.
However, the legend’s coaching career has yet to reach the same heights. He managed the Cameroon national team from 2018 to 2019, but now faces an entirely different challenge — working at one of Brazil’s most renowned clubs.
The appointment is made even more intriguing by the presence of another Dutchman at Corinthians — forward Memphis Depay. Seedorf’s task will now be to improve the team’s performances and help them climb out of the danger zone in the table.
