Cincinnati to pay record Fee in MLS History for Togo national team striker Denkey
Togo national team striker Kevin Denkey has impressed in Belgium with Cercle Brugge, but his future lies outside European football.
Details: According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Denkey will join MLS club FC Cincinnati during the winter transfer window.
Furthermore, Denkey is set to become the most expensive player in MLS history. Cincinnati will pay Cercle Brugge a transfer fee of €17 million for the striker.
This move surpasses the previous MLS transfer record held by Argentina international Thiago Almada, who joined Atlanta United from Vélez Sarsfield for €14.5 million.
This season, Denkey has tallied 11 goals and 6 assists in 23 appearances across all competitions.
