Christopher Ennin Takes Over as Samartex Coach Amid Ghana Premier League Struggles
Following Nurudeen Amadu's departure, FC Samartex, the reigning Ghana Premier League winners, have named Christopher Ennin as their new head coach. This shift occurs amid a challenging season for Samartex, who are struggling to return to their winning ways following their historic championship victory.
Amadu, who guided the club to their first Premier League title, left Samartex after early losses in the FA Cup and the CAF Champions League qualifiers.
In an official announcement, Samartex showed their trust in the new coach, saying, "Chris is our man. We are happy to announce that Christopher Ennin has agreed to take on the role of the club’s new Head Coach."
Ennin has a solid background for the job. He has previously led Berekum Chelsea in Ghana and, more recently, Moneni Pirates in the Eswatini Premier League. His expertise is likely to give the team a fresh boost as they try to improve their position, currently standing at 17 points from 14 games this season.
In their next league game against Nations FC at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, Samartex will try to turn things around.
