Christian N’Sengi-Biembe appointed South Sudan head coach

The coach from the Democratic Republic of the Congo will lead the Bright Stars in their upcoming international fixtures.

South Sudan has a new head coach. Christian N’Sengi-Biembe has been appointed to lead the South Sudanese national team’s coaching staff.

The 63-year-old Congolese coach has signed a one-year contract with an option for a further year. His mission will be to lead South Sudan in its upcoming international fixtures, notably the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, which begin next September.

With the Bright Stars, N’Sengi-Biembe will be aiming to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations, which is to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

N’Sengi-Biembe will not, however, be limiting himself to the senior national team. The Congolese coach will also be responsible for acting as a technical adviser to South Sudan’s youth national teams.

This appointment marks a new chapter in Christian N’Sengi-Biembe’s coaching career. The 63-year-old coach previously managed the Democratic Republic of the Congo national team between August 2019 and May 2021.
