Christian Kofane scores for Bayer Leverkusen against Genk in a friendly

The Cameroonian striker played his part in the goal-scoring spree during his club’s 4-0 victory over Genk.

Christian Kofane continues his fine form with Bayer Leverkusen in pre-season. The Cameroonian once again made a name for himself during Bayer Leverkusen’s friendly against Genk on Wednesday 29 July. The Cameroonian international stood out with a goal as his team dominated the Belgian side.

Bayer Leverkusen took control of the match right from the opening minutes. Jeanuel Belocian opened the scoring in the 9th minute before Nigerian Nathan Tella doubled the lead before half-time.

Bayer Leverkusen’s third goal came in the second half courtesy of Afonso Moreira. Having failed to score up to that point, Christian Kofane responded in the finest possible manner. The Cameroonian striker found the back of the net with an unstoppable header in the 53rd minute, making it 4–0 to Bayer Leverkusen.

Christian Kofane has now scored his third goal in three matches for Bayer Leverkusen during this pre-season campaign.
