Christian Kofane makes his first decisive contribution in the Bundesliga since March
He provided his ninth assist of the season
The Cameroonian forward stood out despite Bayer Leverkusen’s defeat to Stuttgart on Saturday.
Christian Kofane had not scored a goal or provided an assist in the league since 7 March. The Cameroonian international had been going through a run without a single decisive contribution.
However, on Saturday 9 May during matchday 33 of the German Bundesliga, Christian Kofane made his mark. The Cameroonian striker provided the assist that allowed Aleix Garcia to open the scoring in the 33rd second for Bayer Leverkusen against Stuttgart. The Cameroonian and his team were defeated at the final whistle (3-1).
However, Christian Kofane has racked up nine assists this season across all competitions. He has also scored seven goals for Bayer Leverkusen.
