Chose farming over Formula 1: Sebastian Vettel rules out return to racing
Four-time Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel has ruled out a return to F1, reports The Sun. The former driver for Red Bull, Ferrari, and Aston Martin officially retired in 2022 and has no plans to return to the sport. Instead, he is dedicating himself to farming.
At 37, Vettel has long been an advocate for environmental causes and frequently promotes related initiatives. He is currently training in agriculture.
"I am doing an apprenticeship in agriculture. This area fascinates me. I find it extremely exciting when it comes to the future of agriculture," Vettel said.
Now living in Switzerland with his wife and three children, Vettel has no desire to return to the F1 grid, although he hasn’t completely ruled out participating in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in the future.
Vettel won the Formula 1 world championship four times in a row between 2010 and 2013. This year, Max Verstappen matched his achievement.
Since 2023, the Swiss-born Vettel has been a co-owner of a team competing in the SailGP international sailing series.
