Chivas de Guadalajara are preparing for another roster shake-up as the Clausura 2025 season nears its conclusion. With the team eliminated from the CONCACAF Champions Cup and fighting to qualify for the 'Play-In', the club is already outlining changes ahead of the Apertura. As reported by Fútbol Total, at least five players are expected to leave during the summer transfer window.

Coach Gerardo Espinoza’s future remains uncertain, and the potential departures could be part of a broader rebuild. On the list of players marked to exit are Miguel Tapias, Alan Mozo, Omar Govea, Fernando Beltrán, and Isaác Brizuela. While some have struggled for minutes, others, despite their experience and status, no longer fit into the club’s strategic plans.

Financial constraints could complicate matters, particularly in the cases of Mozo and Beltrán, who each earn around $1 million annually. Chivas may need to cover part of those salaries to facilitate transfers. Tapias’ inclusion is particularly surprising, given he signed a contract through 2027 just months ago. Nonetheless, his short stint seems to have failed to meet expectations. With another restructuring on the horizon, Chivas aim to refresh the squad and reset ambitions for the upcoming tournament.
