Chisora open to farewell fight against Jake Paul
Veteran heavyweight Derek Chisora secured a unanimous decision victory over Sweden’s Otto Wallin. This marked the 49th professional fight of Chisora’s career.
Chisora confirmed his plans to retire after his 50th bout, and did not rule out the possibility of facing the controversial YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in his final fight.
Quote: “Fight number 51? No, no, no. That’s it. I’ll let the fans decide. I’ll let you guys decide. I need something big, in the United Kingdom — I deserve it. I want to fight a boxer, or maybe I’ll fight Jake Paul, who knows,” Chisora said, as quoted by Boxingscene.
Chisora defeated Wallin by unanimous decision. Midway through the fight, the veteran suffered a cut above his right eye. Despite the setback, he managed to drop his opponent twice.
Reminder: Earlier, promoter Frank Warren expressed hope that the heavyweight legend would retire after his 50th bout.
