China continues pursuit of USA. Heavyweight Li Fabin wins Olympic gold in 61kg weightlifting event

Heavyweight lifter Li Fabin from China has won the Olympic gold in the 61 kg weight category.
In the final, Li achieved a combined total of 310 kg in the snatch and clean and jerk. The silver medal went to Terapong Silachai from Thailand, while the bronze was awarded to Hampton Morris from the USA.
This is Li Fabin's second Olympic gold medal—he was the Olympic champion in 2020 as well.
This is China's 23rd gold medal at the 2024 Games, which is 1 less than the USA.
The 2024 Olympics are taking place in Paris from July 26 to August 11. Reminder: Dailysports has prepared the schedule for the events where medals will be contested on August 7.
