Dynamos Football Club has confirmed the appointment of Lloyd “Mablanyo” Chigowe as the substantive head coach ahead of the 2025 season. Chigowe, who took over as interim coach in August 2024 after Genesis Mangombe’s departure, led the team through a challenging season, guiding them to a 50% win ratio across 20 matches in all competitions.

Under his leadership, the Glamour Boys not only defended the Chibuku Super Cup by beating Ngezi Platinum Stars but also secured their place in the CAF Confederation Cup for 2025. Despite finishing the previous season in eighth place, Chigowe’s achievements, particularly in cup competitions, earned him the full backing of the club’s management.

"I am ready to work hard for this great club and do my best, even though we have lost some important players," said Chigowe. He is focused on building a strong team that can compete in different competitions.

Dynamos Executive Chairman Moses Maunganidze said he fully believes in Chigowe’s skills and promised to support him completely. The 60-year-old coach is getting ready for the new season, which includes fighting for the title in the Castle Lager Premiership, defending the Chibuku Super Cup, and playing in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Chigowe is now busy putting together his coaching team, and more news about this will be shared soon.
