Chennai Super Kings sign South African as Overton replacement
Major changes have taken place in the Chennai Super Kings camp ahead of tomorrow's match.
Details: The club has officially confirmed that reliable all-rounder Jamie Overton is ruled out for the remainder of the current IPL season due to injury. This loss is a painful blow to Chennai Super Kings' squad depth, but the management has acted swiftly, signing South African player Dian Forrest as his replacement.
With Overton sidelined, at least two changes are expected in CSK's starting lineup. Spencer Johnson is set to make his first appearance for Chennai, stepping in to strengthen the bowling attack in place of the injured Englishman. The Australian's debut promises to be a key moment in tomorrow's clash. The newcomer is expected to join the squad in Lucknow as early as tomorrow.
Additionally, the club management is considering a rotation among the batters: Sarfaraz Khan is in contention to replace Kartik Sharma in the lineup.
Reminder: The reason why the Mumbai Indians' skipper missed today's IPL match has been revealed.
