Chelsea's full-back has been injured. He will not play for the youth team
Chelsea’s right-back Malo Gusto was unable to continue the Premier League match against Crystal Palace and left the field in the 74th minute.
According to the club’s website, the player will not participate in the upcoming matches for the France U21 national team. Gusto was set to play in the Euro U21 qualifiers against Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina but sustained a thigh injury. He will now continue his recovery at Cobham.
Additionally, defender Wesley Fofana will miss international duties with the French national team during this break. He played the full 90 minutes in three Premier League matches and now requires recovery. He missed a significant portion of the previous season due to injury.
It’s worth noting that Chelsea hosted Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge in a London derby during the 3rd round of the Premier League. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
Currently, Enzo Maresca’s team has 4 points from 3 matches. After the international break, they will face Bournemouth and West Ham in the Premier League.
