Chelsea's eleventh transfer of the summer. Maresca have signed another goalkeeper

Chelsea's transfer campaign in the summer window has already become the subject of ridicule from fans, but the club do not pay attention to them and have already made their eleventh signing during the current window.

The Pensioners' press office announced the signing of 19-year-old Genk goalkeeper Mike Penders. He signed a contract with Chelsea until 2032. The amount of the transfer is not reported, but portal Transfermarkt puts the figure at 20 million euros.

However, Penders will join Chelsea not now, but next summer. For the season 2024/2025 he will remain in Genk, but on loan.

It should be recalled that in the summer transfer window Chelsea also signed Danish goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen from Villarreal, and in total we can count seven goalkeepers in Enzo Maresca's squad.
