In the marquee match of the Premier League's first round, Chelsea will face Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. The Dailysports team has compiled information on where and when to watch this game.

Chelsea vs Manchester City: what to know about the match?

Chelsea finished last season's campaign on a high note, climbing the league table to secure sixth place in the Premier League. However, the club's management decided to change the head coach, appointing Enzo Maresca, who previously managed Leicester. Under his guidance, the team played six friendly matches, securing only one victory, drawing twice, and losing three times. Chelsea is once again actively engaged in the transfer market, with the most expensive signing being winger Pedro Neto, who joined the Londoners for £60 million.

Manchester City is the reigning champion of England, having held the title for four consecutive years. This summer has been relatively quiet for the Citizens. The team played four friendlies, winning one and losing three. Last week, on August 10, Man City won the FA Community Shield, defeating United in a penalty shootout. Regarding transfer activities, City has been more focused on sales than acquisitions, with the most notable transfer being Julián Álvarez's move to Atlético Madrid for £75 million.
