Manchester City have reached an agreement with Crystal Palace over the signing of centre-back Marc Guéhi, but Chelsea will also benefit financially from the deal.

Details: According to the Daily Mail, when Chelsea sold the defender to Crystal Palace, they included a sell-on clause in the agreement. As a result, the London club are set to receive 20 percent of the transfer fee. Chelsea will earn around £4 million from Marc Guéhi’s move to Manchester City.

We previously reported that personal terms between Guehi and City had already been agreed, meaning there were no obstacles on that front.

Just six months ago, Liverpool were considered the frontrunners for Guéhi, coming within a whisker of signing the Palace defender before the transfer collapsed in the final moments of the window.

Reminder: This season, Guéhi has featured in 33 matches, scoring 3 goals and providing 4 assists.
