Chelsea youngster David Washington could leave the club on loan in search of regular game time.
The 19-year-old forward has barely been getting any game time for the Blues, making a move to Palmeiras a possibility. CaughtOffside sources say the Brazilian club are making a huge push to get a deal done and give Washington the chance to play more often and develop.
It was previously suggested that he could join Strasbourg, but the deal fell through. Despite this, Chelsea are not opposed to the player leaving temporarily as he is still part of the club’s long-term plans.
Washington is hoping that his time on loan will help him return to the team and compete for a place in the current highly competitive first team.
There is a possibility that a move to Palmeiras would be beneficial for the player and the club, as Chelsea are in need of some attacking reinforcements and Washington remains a promising prospect.
