Chelsea Tie Down Flying Eagles Prospect

Chelsea have confirmed that 2025 Flying Eagles invitee Chizaram Ezenwata has signed a new contract with the Premier League club. The Blues said the English-Nigerian-Cameroonian forward has “put pen to paper” on his first professional deal, following scholarship rules for U17 players.

Chelsea had earlier offered the highly rated striker an early scholarship, with a pathway to a professional contract.

Ezenwata joined Chelsea at U15 level after spells at West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Charlton Athletic. He finished last season as Chelsea U18s’ top scorer and now leads the charts with 11 goals across competitions. The youngster has also featured in the FA Youth Cup, Premier League 2 and U21 Premier League Cup. He represented England at the 2025 Fifa U17 tournament.
