Caicedo joined Chelsea in the summer of 2023 for a record £115 million, making it the highest transfer fee ever paid by a British club. Before moving to Europe, Caicedo played for Independiente del Valle in Ecuador, where he helped the club's youth team win the 2020 Copa Libertadores U-20.
He is also a key player for the Ecuador national team, making his debut on October 9, 2020.
