Chelsea set to resist Real Madrid’s interest in Enzo Fernández

Real Madrid has been eyeing Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández for quite some time. The Blues are well aware of the Spanish giants’ intentions and are prepared to take a firm stand to protect their star player.
Details: According to The Guardian, Chelsea has no intention of selling the Argentine and will block any attempt by Los Blancos to secure his signature. The World Cup winner’s contract with the Blues runs until June 30, 2032, and there are no signs of discontent from him at Stamford Bridge. Moreover, it remains uncertain whether Real Madrid would have the financial muscle to pull off a deal for the Argentine midfielder.
Reminder: This season, Fernández has tallied seven goals and 13 assists in 44 appearances across all competitions. Earlier reports had also suggested a potential move in the opposite direction, as Chelsea is showing interest in Real Madrid forward Rodrygo.
