Chelsea Renew Interest in AC Milan Goalkeeper Mike Maignan Ahead of Summer Transfer Window

Chelsea have reportedly revived their interest in AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan as the club continues its search for a reliable long-term solution between the posts.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Blues are closely monitoring the French international after failing to sign him last summer. Chelsea were unwilling to meet Milan’s £21 million asking price at the time, causing the deal to collapse.

Maignan recently extended his contract with AC Milan until 2031, but despite this, he could still reconsider his future if AC Milan misses out on Champions League qualification or if uncertainty over manager Massimiliano Allegri continues.

Maignan has kept 13 clean sheets in 35 Serie A games.
