Chelsea ready to pay Sterling for early contract termination

Winger Raheem Sterling was one of the first signings of the Chelsea era under Todd Boehly. But the former Manchester City player failed to make an impact either with the Blues or during his loan spell at Arsenal. This is pushing the recent UEFA Conference League winner towards a desperate move.
Details: According to financial expert Stefan Borson in an interview with Football Insider, there is no demand for Sterling on the transfer market, which is why Chelsea might decide to pay the winger at least half of his remaining salary in order to terminate his contract early. The Blues could end up paying their player around 20 million euros.

Reminder: Sterling is one of three star players Chelsea is looking to sell this summer. He was not even included in the squad for the Club World Cup. The winger made only seven appearances for Mikel Arteta's side.
