Chelsea prematurely recalled the striker Dato Fofana from his loan, as reported on the English club's official website.

The Ivorian footballer spent the first half of the season in the Bundesliga, playing for Union Berlin. In total, he participated in 12 matches and scored one goal for the team. Previously, there were rumors that Dato Fofana was close to a loan move to Sevilla. It's worth noting that the transfer window in Spain closes on February 1.

Recall that on February 2, 2021, Dato signed a four-year contract with Molde. On May 9, 2021, he made his debut for the team in the Norwegian championship, coming on as a substitute in the 69th minute in a match against Kristiansund.

On September 22, 2019, Dato made his debut for the Ivory Coast national team in a qualifying match for the African Nations Championship against Niger.

Chelsea acquired the young striker in January of the previous year for 12 million euros.
