Chelsea manager reveals when to expect Mamadou Sarr’s debut
Chelsea recalled Mamadou Sarr from his loan spell at Strasbourg in January 2026, but the defender has yet to make his debut for the London side.
Details: Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior was asked about the centre-back’s potential playing time. According to the coach, the player has a strong chance of being named in the starting line-up for the upcoming fixture.
Quote: “It’s always very difficult for players to change clubs in January. He’s only been here for a week and needs time to adapt and settle in. On Friday, we will definitely see him on the pitch at some point,” Rosenior stated.
The London side will play their next match away to Hull City in the fourth round of the FA Cup. The game is scheduled for Friday, 13 February, with kick-off at 20:45 CET.
It is worth noting that during the Matchweek 26 Premier League clash between Chelsea and Leeds, which ended in a 2–2 draw, a highly controversial incident occurred.
Reminder: After 26 rounds, the Blues have 44 points and have climbed to fourth place in the table. Their next fixture will be in the FA Cup.
