Chelsea head coach reveals which players will miss the UEFA Champions League due to injury
Chelsea are preparing for their next match, scheduled for Wednesday, January 21, against Pafos, and the London side’s head coach has now confirmed who will be unavailable.
Details: Speaking at a press conference, Liam Rosenior revealed that Enzo Fernandez will miss the game due to illness. Tosin is also sidelined for a long period after suffering an issue with his hamstring.
Quote: “Enzo Fernandez is ill and has not trained with us. Even during the previous match there were signs that he was not feeling well. Estevao is back, Gittens is back as well. Malo Gusto too. They only have a slight cough. We want to make sure that all players are ready to play,” Rosenior said.
The Matchday 7 UEFA Champions League fixture between Chelsea and Pafos will take place on Wednesday, January 21, at Stamford Bridge, with kick-off at 21:00 CET. The London club currently sit 13th in the UEFA Champions League standings, having collected ten points from six matches.
