On 30 August, the draw for the league stage of the Conference League took place. The only Premier League representative in this tournament - Chelsea London - found out their opponents at this stage.
Enzo Maresca's team ended up in the first pot and got the following opponents:
- Gent (home)
- Handenheim (away)
- Astana (away)
- Shamrock Rovers (home)
- Panathinaikos (away)
- Noah (home)
Unlike the Champions League or Europa League, in the Conference League each team will play six matches instead of eight. Therefore, the tournament itself will start later, on 3 October. The last, sixth round will also take place back in 2024. Its matches will take place on 19 December.
Earlier, English clubs learnt their opponents in the Champions League league stage, while Manchester United and Tottenham got their opponents in the similar stage of the Europa League.
