Chelsea has issued an ultimatum to their star midfielder

Chelsea is struggling to reach an agreement on the terms of a new contract with midfielder Conor Gallagher.

Despite negotiations with the Pensioners regarding the extension of his current agreement, which expires in 2025, talks have currently reached an impasse.

According to TEAMtalk, the London club has informed Gallagher that he must lower his salary demands significantly, or else he will be sold in the summer. It is noted that Gallagher is seeking wages exceeding £150,000 per week, a figure much higher than what Chelsea is willing to offer.

The English national team star is a prime target for Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs are prepared to make their move should the player become available in the upcoming transfer window.

Earlier reports indicated that other top clubs have shown interest in another Chelsea midfielder.
