Chelsea has initiated talks regarding the transfer of a forward from Girona

London-based Chelsea intends to acquire Girona's Spanish forward, Artem Dovbyk. El Nacional reports that the "Blues" have already entered negotiations for the Ukrainian player's transfer.

It's reported that the English club is willing to offer around 40 million euros for the Ukrainian national team forward. According to sources, the idea for this transfer came from Chelsea's manager, Mauricio Pochettino. The coach believes that a partnership between Mudryk and Dovbyk could yield striking results.

Artem Dovbyk became a Girona player in the summer, moving from Dnipro-1. The Catalan club paid just under eight million euros for the impactful forward.

Within his new team, the forward has already scored 11 goals and was recently named the Player of the Month in La Liga. Notably, Transfermarkt values the 26-year-old footballer at 28 million euros.
