Manchester City and Chelsea clashed at Wembley in the semi-final of the FA Cup.

The teams had an evenly contested first half. Chelsea adeptly neutralized Manchester City's strengths and at times looked more dangerous in attack. In particular, Cole Palmer did not convert a promising moment. However, spectators at Wembley did not witness any goals in the first half.

Chelsea began the second half much more aggressively. Nicolas Jackson could only blame himself after failing to score from two clear-cut chances in a single attack - Stefan Ortega made a double save to deny him.

On the 55th minute, a controversial incident occurred. After Palmer's delivery from a set piece, the ball appeared to strike Jack Grealish's hand in Manchester City's penalty area, but the referee decided not to award a penalty.

After that, the game opened up with both teams attacking and creating scoring opportunities. However, the reigning trophy holders had the better finishing. Bernardo Silva sealed the match with a precise strike in the 87th minute.

Chelsea attempted to salvage the match, but Mauricio Pochettino's team ran out of time.

In the final of the FA Cup, Pep Guardiola's team will face the winner of the Coventry City vs Manchester United clash, which takes place on Sunday, April 21.
