According to journalist David Ornstein from The Athletic, Chelsea's management has drawn up a shortlist of three strikers the club is targeting ahead of the summer transfer window.

Enhancing the attacking line is a top priority for Enzo Maresca's team, as Chelsea is facing significant issues with finishing chances this season. The lion's share of goals is being scored by Cole Palmer, who has netted 14 times, while the rest of the attacking players haven't even reached double figures.

Ornstein reports that Chelsea is considering three candidates: Liam Delap from Ipswich, Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, and Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht.

Delap has scored 12 goals in the current Premier League season. His club is in the relegation zone, and the striker himself might consider a move to another EPL club. Interest in him is high, and Chelsea will have to compete to secure his signing.

Sesko, who has scored 20 goals for Leipzig, is considered one of the most promising young strikers in Europe. It's no surprise that Chelsea views him as a priority target, but he is also in demand among other European giants.

Ekitike has netted 21 goals and is also on the radar of top clubs, including Premier League leaders Liverpool. The Frenchman is likely to leave Eintracht this summer.

This list clearly indicates that Chelsea does not see Nico Jackson as capable of being the main forward next season, and the club is planning to strengthen their attack.
