Chelsea easily wins the first game of the UEFA Conference League play-offs

On Thursday, August 22, Chelsea hosted Servette from Switzerland in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League qualifying playoff round.

The first half was relatively calm. Chelsea dominated possession, but both teams lacked clear chances to score. The first half ended in a goalless draw.

After the break, Chelsea took the lead immediately when Christopher Nkunku converted a penalty in the 50th minute. A few minutes later, Marc Guéhi had a chance to make it 2-0 but missed an open goal, resulting in an extraordinary blunder. Despite this, Chelsea managed to score a second goal. In the 76th minute, Maduéké found the net, setting the final score.

Chelsea secured a convincing and comfortable 2-0 victory over Servette in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League qualifying playoff round.
