Chelsea could immediately loan out the striker they buy this month

Young forward Marc Guiu, whom Chelsea bought from Barcelona this summer, might be sent out on loan immediately.

According to Catalunya Radio, after the first training sessions, Chelsea's head coach Enzo Maresca informed Guiu that the best option for him this season would be a loan to a top-league club to gain experience in senior football.

The most likely destination for Guiu is newly-promoted La Liga side Espanyol, which is looking for a new forward following the departure of Martin Braithwaite.

To recall, Chelsea paid Barcelona €6 million for Guillou, which was the release clause specified in his contract.

Last season, Guiu made his debut for Barcelona's first team and scored the winning goal in his first match against Athletic Bilbao. He also scored in a Champions League match against Antwerp.
