Sporting Lisbon defender Ousmane Diomande has been on the radar of several top clubs, but potential suitors are looking to negotiate a lower price for the Ivorian center-back.
Details: According to teamTALK, Chelsea have shown strong interest in the 21-year-old defender, but are unwilling to meet his €80 million release clause.
The club’s transfer committee, led by Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley, believes they can negotiate directly with Sporting to reduce the price by more than €20 million, ultimately securing Diomande for a fee below €60 million.
Reminder: In addition to Chelsea, the Ivorian center-back has attracted interest from Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, and Barcelona.
